The number of hacking attempts against the Constitutional Court has been gradually rising since 2017, raising concerns over cybersecurity in public organizations.
Citing data submitted by the Constitutional Court, a representative from the ruling Democratic Party reported approximately 1.16 million cases of attempted cyberattacks against the court since 2017.
The attempts, all of which were detected and blocked, totaled 85,000 in 2017 and surged to 187,000 in 2024. The figure stood at around 80,000 during the January to August period of 2025.
"Cyber threats continue to grow. We need to bolster our alertness and enhance security readiness," the representative stated.
2017년 이후 헌법재판소에 대한 해킹 시도가 점차 증가하고 있다는 데이터가 일요일에 발표되면서 공공기관의 사이버 안보에 대한 우려가 커지고 있다.
헌법재판소가 제출한 데이터를 인용한 더불어민주당 추미애 의원에 따르면, 2017년 이후 헌법재판소에 대한 사이버 공격 시도가 약 116만 건에 달하는 것으로 나타났다.
이 시도들은 모두 탐지되어 차단되었으며, 2017년에는 85,000건에서 2024년에는 187,000건으로 급증한 것으로 보고되었다.
2025년 1월부터 8월 사이에는 이 수치가 약 80,000건에 달했다.
"사이버 위협은 계속해서 증가하고 있습니다. 우리는 경계를 강화하고 보안 준비 태세를 높여야 합니다,"라며 추 의원은 말했다.
