Cortis, the new boy band from BigHit Music, debuted on the Billboard 200 albums chart at No. 15 with its first EP, "Color Outside the Lines," according to the latest chart released Tuesday (U.S. time).
This marks the second-highest position ever for a debut album by a K-pop act and the highest for a group not formed with members of established acts, as reported by BigHit.
Among K-pop boy bands that have debuted in the past four years, Cortis is the first to reach the top 20.
The five-member group, consisting of Martin, James, Juhoon, Seonghyeon, and Keonho, is the first new boy band from BigHit in six years, following the debut of Tomorrow X Together (TXT) in 2019.
BigHit described Cortis as a "young creator crew" that produces its own music, choreography, and videos with a "completely new and original sensibility."
Released on September 8, the album features five tracks led by "What You Want," a song highlighting the members' themes of pursuing their desires with confidence and determination.

소속사는 코르티스를 "완전히 새롭고 독창적인 감각으로 자신들의 음악, 안무, 비디오를 만드는 젊은 창작자 팀"이라고 설명했다.
9월 8일 발매된 이 앨범은 멤버들이 자신들의 욕망을 자신감 있게 주저 없이 추구하는 내용을 담은 'What You Want'를 포함해 총 다섯 곡으로 구성되어 있다.
