The host nation, Korea, is among seven countries that have qualified for an LPGA match-play event set for this fall. The LPGA announced on Monday that Korea, the United States, Japan, Thailand, Sweden, Australia, and China will compete in the International Crown, scheduled for October 23-26.
The event will take place at the New Korea Country Club in Goyang, located just northwest of Seoul in Gyeonggi Province. This four-day match-play competition was first held in 2014.
The seven national teams were selected based on the combined world ranking positions of their top four players, with the country having the lowest total ranking securing the top seed. As of Monday, the U.S. team, led by world No. 1 Nelly Korda, took the top seed with 34 points, followed by Korea with 53 points, Japan with 74 points, and Thailand with 88 points.
This year's event will also introduce a new Team World, consisting of one player each from the Americas, Europe, Asia, and Africa and Oceania. The lineup for Team World, along with the teams from the seven countries, will be determined based on rankings following the conclusion of the AIG Women's Open on August 4.

이번 4일간의 매치 플레이 대회는 서울 북서쪽 경기도 고양시에 있는 뉴코리아 컨트리클럽에서 개최되며, 2014년에 처음 열렸다.
7개 국가팀은 각 국가의 상위 4명 선수의 세계 랭킹을 기준으로 총점을 합산해 선정되었으며, 가장 낮은 점수를 기록한 국가가 상위 시드를 차지한다.
올해 대회에는 아메리카, 유럽, 아시아, 아프리카 및 오세아니아에서 한 명씩 선수를 구성한 새로운 '팀 월드'도 참가할 예정이다.
팀 자원 및 7개 국가의 선수단 구성은 AIG 여성 오픈이 종료된 후인 8월 4일의 랭킹에 따라 결정된다.
세계 1위 넬리 코다가 이끄는 미국 팀은 34점을 기록하며 상위 시드를 차지했고, 그 뒤로 한국(53점), 일본(74점), 태국(88점), 스웨덴이 순위에 올랐다.
