Korea's Choi Hye-jin is tied for third place heading into the final round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship, the third major of the 2025 LPGA season. Choi recorded an even-par 72 in the third round held at Fields Ranch East in Frisco, Texas, on Saturday. She currently stands at one-over par for the tournament after 54 holes, trailing the leader, Korean Australian Minjee Lee, by seven strokes.
Minjee Lee and Thailand's Jeeno Thitikul are the only two players under par, with Lee at two-under following her round of 69, while Grace Kim, another Korean Australian, shot 68. Both Lee and Kim were the only players to break 70 in challenging windy conditions during the third round.
Choi, who joined the LPGA Tour in 2022, is pursuing her first victory on the U.S. tour. She recently finished as a runner-up at the Meijer LPGA Classic and has achieved consecutive fourth-place finishes at the U.S. Women's Open and the Mexico Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba. This marks Choi's 89th career start as an LPGA member.
During the third round, Choi made a birdie on the par-5 third hole, but a double bogey on the par-4 seventh hole posed a challenge to her performance.
