Prior to his trip to Canada for the Group of Seven (G7) summit, Lee instructed his staff to create social media content in both Korean and foreign languages to demonstrate "diplomatic respect and willingness to communicate." His office emphasized that these messages should reach South Korean citizens living abroad as well as local residents of the countries he is engaging with.
On his social media platform, an update regarding his summit with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba was shared in both Korean and Japanese. Additionally, a post about his meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney was published in Korean and English, while a summary of discussions with Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum was provided in Korean and Spanish.
The presidential office confirmed that Lee's social media posts will continue to be available in multiple languages during his overseas trips and meetings.
