SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo-man, currently the key producer of A2O Entertainment, met with French President Emmanuel Macron in Paris to discuss potential cooperation in the cultural sector between Korea and France.
The meeting took place at the Elysee Palace, where Lee, who is 73 years old, attended the France Music Week to deliver a keynote speech. This event is aimed at promoting the French music industry to global professionals, and Lee was the sole Asian attendee.
During the meeting, President Macron acknowledged Lee's reputation as an influential entrepreneur and producer. A2O Entertainment reported that Macron proposed the establishment of a local office for Lee in France, expressing a strong desire to enhance collaboration between Korean and French creators.
A2O Entertainment emphasized that this high-level interaction is significant, reflecting the French government's recognition of K-pop's global impact and Lee's cultural vision.
