ILLIT, a K-pop girl group managed by Belift Lab, has launched their third mini-album, titled "bomb," aiming to build on the success of their debut single "Magnetic." The album was released on Monday and embraces the theme of "magical girls," promoting positivity to those who possess untapped potential.
During a media showcase at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul on the same day, the members discussed their growth and anticipation for the album. Moka expressed gratitude to fans for their patience over the eight-month hiatus since their last release, stating, "We worked extra hard because we couldn't wait to share this with everyone. This album is packed with songs we're confident in."
The new concept is inspired by anime-style magical girls, with a unique twist emphasizing that any ordinary girl can recognize and harness her own potential. Iroha noted, "The message this time is about overcoming negativity — anyone can become a magical girl."

"bomb"에서 ILLIT은 "마법 소녀"라는 개념을 수용하며, 아직 발휘되지 않은 마법을 지닌 모든 이에게 긍정의 메시지를 전달한다. 앨범 발매 몇 시간 전 서울 YES24 라이브홀에서 열린 미디어 쇼케이스에서 멤버들은 자신의 변화를 이야기했다. "마지막 발매 이후로 8개월이 지났고, 기다려준 팬들에게 정말 감사하다"고 모카가 말했다. "모두와 이 앨범을 나누고 싶어서 더욱 열심히 작업했다. 이번 앨범은 우리가 자신 있는 곡들로 가득 차 있다."
새로운 콘셉트는 애니메이션 스타일의 마법 소녀에서 영감을 받았지만 변형이 가해졌다. "우리가 상상하는 마법 소녀는 자신의 잠재력을 인식한 평범한 소녀가 될 수 있는 사람"이라고 이로하가 설명했다. "이번 메시지는 부정성을 극복하는 것이며, 누구나 마법 소녀가 될 수 있다."
