Lawyers for former President Yoon Suk Yeol filed a complaint with the prosecution on Thursday against senior presidential security officials. They accused these officials of illegitimately transferring Yoon's secure phone records to the police.
Last month, police conducted a seizure of Yoon's cell phones along with the phone server records from the Presidential Security Service (PSS) for the first time since Yoon's brief attempt at martial law.
The legal team representing Yoon asserted that the phone records provided to the police by the PSS were classified information. They contended that accessing these records necessitates a specific process to unlock confidential information and requires approval from the head of the presidential archives prior to any disclosure.
