RM, the leader of K-pop megagroup BTS, expressed strong anticipation for the group's return to the music scene after completing his mandatory military service in Korea. His comments coincided with the 12th anniversary of the group's debut.
In a message on the fan community platform Weverse, RM stated, "We will truly try to do even better once more," and added, "I'm going to try to go somewhere again, though I don't know where. I just want to walk romantically together."
The Grammy-nominated septet has been on hiatus from group activities since mid-2022 as members enlisted to fulfill Korea's military service requirement, which lasts between 18 to 21 months for able-bodied men. RM, whose real name is Kim Nam-joon, was discharged on Tuesday, alongside fellow member V. Jin and J-Hope completed their service last year, while Suga is scheduled to finish on June 21.
RM's message reflected on his time away and expressed gratitude to fans for their patience, raising hopes for a full-group comeback within this year.
