Former world No. 1 Ko Jin-young is six strokes off the lead entering the final round of the second LPGA major tournament of the season. Currently ranked 10th in the world, Ko is the top Korean player after 54 holes but faces a challenging path to secure her third career major title and her first LPGA win since May 2023. Maja Stark of Sweden leads the tournament at seven-under, one stroke ahead of Julia Lopez Ramirez of Spain. Three Japanese players—Rio Takeda, Hinako Shibuno, and Mao Saigo—are tied for third at five-under, while world No. 1 Nelly Korda is in sixth place at four-under.
Ko made the cut on the number at one-over and recorded six birdies against four bogeys for her first under-par round at Erin Hills, which played at 6,692 yards on Saturday. Kim A-lim and Im Jin-hee, who shared the opening-round lead, are at even-par and three-over for the tournament, respectively.
