Samsung SDS showcased its comprehensive artificial intelligence (AI) service strategy during its annual REAL Summit held in southern Seoul. The strategy encompasses infrastructure, consulting, platforms, and solutions aimed at aiding companies across various industries in their AI transformation efforts.
The event featured a keynote session where company executives highlighted their strategy, global partnerships, and client use cases. CEO Lee June-hee emphasized the importance of AI agents, stating that they open up new opportunities but require expertise in AI, cloud technologies, and a thorough understanding of complex enterprise data, along with a focus on security.
Lee noted the challenges in verifying AI applications and the necessity of reliable information technology (IT) partnerships for successful AI innovation. Samsung SDS offers a full-stack service, including its generative AI platform FabriX, which links multiple language models to enterprise systems, as well as Brity Copilot and Brity Automation to enhance work process automation.
With extensive experience in AI consulting and implementation, Samsung SDS aims to expedite AI adoption among enterprise clients. Lee asserted that the company not only provides robust AI cloud infrastructure but also critical integration capabilities to ensure smooth connectivity of enterprise systems.
FabriX enables users to develop AI agents capable of task execution through model context protocols and agent-to-agent technologies, facilitating collaboration among multiple agents for optimal outcomes. Brity Copilot serves as a personal AI assistant, leveraging real-time work data and interactions, with plans to expand features such as real-time translation during video calls and voice command task handling.
During the session, representatives from KB Financial Group, Wonik, and AI start-up Upstage shared their experiences with Samsung SDS solutions. Additionally, executives from SAP Enterprise Cloud Services and Dell Technologies discussed their partnership with the company.
Samsung SDS has recently been recognized as Korea’s first SAP Premium Supplier, enabling the provision of private cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) solutions within Korea. This offering is designed to meet local compliance and sovereignty requirements through the hosting of private cloud environments in Samsung SDS data centers.
In remarks to reporters, Lee reiterated the company's commitment to a balanced full-stack strategy that maintains flexibility and competitiveness across all technology layers, acknowledging that not every customer may require the complete stack. He emphasized the importance of each layer being strong to ensure the overall offering's robustness and affirmed the company’s readiness to provide flexible solutions to meet diverse client needs.

삼성 SDS의 이준희 CEO는 세션 중 “AI에 대해 이야기할 때 가장 큰 주제는 AI 에이전트로, 이는 새로운 기회의 영역으로 나아가는 것을 의미한다... AI 혁신은 AI와 클라우드 기술에 대한 전문성과 복잡한 기업 데이터를 이해하는 능력뿐 아니라 보안에 대한 세심한 고려가 필요하다”고 말했다.

삼성 SDS는 비즈니스에서 AI 혁신을 촉진하기 위해 생성 AI 플랫폼 FabriX를 통해 여러 언어 모델을 기업의 시스템에 연결하고, 생성 AI 어시스턴트인 Brity Copilot과 작업 프로세스를 자동화할 수 있는 Brity Automation을 제공하는 풀스택 서비스를 제공하고 있다.

FabriX는 사용자들이 AI 에이전트를 개발하고 이를 통해 작업을 수행할 수 있도록 하며, 모델 컨텍스트 프로토콜과 에이전트 간 기술을 활용하여 여러 에이전트가 협업하여 최적의 결과를 도출할 수 있도록 지원한다.
Brity Copilot은 실시간 작업 데이터와 사용자와의 상호작용에 기반한 개인 AI 어시스턴트 역할을 하며, 화상 통화 중 실시간 번역, 일정 알림, 자동 응답 및 음성 명령 작업 처리를 위한 기능을 확대할 계획이다.
KB금융그룹, 원익, AI 스타트업 업스테이지가 세션에 참석하여 삼성 SDS 솔루션을 자사에 도입한 경험을 공유했다.
SAP 엔터프라이즈 클라우드 서비스의 피터 플루임 사장과 델 테크놀로지스의 마이클 델 CEO도 세션에 참여하여 삼성 SDS와의 파트너십에 대해 논의했다.
삼성 SDS는 최근 한국 최초의 SAP 프리미엄 공급자가 되었다.
이 CEO는 “몇 달간의 노력 끝에 삼성 SDS와 SAP는 이제 한국에서 프라이빗 클라우드 ERP(기업 자원 계획)를 제공할 수 있게 되었다. 이는 아키텍처, 보안 인증, 규정 준수 및 서비스 수준 계약에 대한 SAP 품질 기준에 의해 뒷받침된다”고 밝혔다.
“한국 사용자에 대한 장점은 SAP의 모든 역량과 혁신을 확보하면서도 동시에 삼성 SDS 데이터 센터 내 프라이빗 클라우드 IP 환경과 인스턴스를 통해 한국형 규정 준수와 주권을 보장받을 수 있다는 점이다.”
세션 종료 후 기자들과의 인터뷰에서 이 CEO는 삼성 SDS의 풀스택 전략이 모든 기술 계층에서 유연성과 경쟁력을 균형있게 유지하기 위해 고안되었다고 강조했다.
“물론 전체 스택이 모든 고객에게 항상 적합하지 않을 수 있기 때문에, 우리는 경쟁력을 보장하기 위해 이 스택의 각 기술 계층을 지속적으로 강화하고 있다”고 말했다.
“이런 의미에서 풀스택은 각 계층이 강할 경우 전체 제공이 강하다는 것을 의미한다. 일부 기업은 모든 IT 요구사항을 한 번에 처리할 수 있는 원스톱 솔루션을 원하기 때문에, 우리는 다양한 사례에 유연하게 대응할 준비를 하고 있다.”
