Ko Woo-rim, a member of the crossover vocal group Forestella, discussed his relationship with Olympic figure skating champion Kim Yuna during an appearance on MBC’s talk show “Radio Star” on Wednesday. He shared details about how their romance began and ultimately led to marriage.
Ko revealed that Kim made the first move, recalling their initial meeting on May 21, 2018, at an ice show where Forestella performed. Following the performance, Kim sent a thank-you message to Forestella’s leader, Cho Min-kyu, which prompted a subsequent meeting over a meal.
Coincidentally, this meeting took place on Ko’s birthday, and Kim sent him a congratulatory message, marking the start of their relationship. Ko mentioned that they dated in secret for four years, stating, “I wasn’t widely known at the time, so people didn’t really notice.” He expressed a sense of calm when communicating with Kim, believing she was someone he could marry.
