The Korea Exchange (KRX) announced on Friday the launch of a new large-scale data cloud service, designed to facilitate the downloading of substantial data volumes with improved speed and ease.
This service has been available through the KRX Information Data System since April 30 and was developed in collaboration with a cloud service provider and a managed service provider.
The new infrastructure is expected to enhance the accessibility and distribution of market data, particularly for users managing high-volume datasets, such as order books and transaction records for securities and derivatives. Data sizes often exceed 5GB, and the cloud-based system allows for quicker downloads.
In conjunction with the service launch, the KRX has introduced a subscription-based model for accessing order book and transaction data. Users can now opt to download data from the previous day on a daily basis, rather than making monthly bulk purchases.
The KRX stated that this launch signifies the beginning of wider efforts to improve its data offerings and explore new revenue streams.

이 서비스는 Naver Cloud와의 협력으로 클라우드 서비스 제공자로 개발되었으며, Koscom이 관리 서비스 제공자로 참여하였다. 새로운 시스템은 특히 주문서와 증권 및 파생상품의 거래 기록과 같은 대량 데이터 세트를 처리하는 사용자에게 시장 데이터의 접근성과 배포를 크게 개선할 것으로 기대된다.
대규모 데이터 세트는 종종 5GB를 초과하는 크기로, 이제 클라우드 기반 인프라 덕분에 훨씬 더 빠르게 다운로드할 수 있다. 새로운 서비스와 함께 KRX는 주문서 및 거래 데이터에 대한 구독 모델도 도입하였다. 월간 대량 구매 대신, 사용자들은 이제 클라우드를 통해 전일의 데이터를 매일 편리하게 접근하고 다운로드할 수 있다.
KRX는 이번 출시가 데이터 제공을 강화하고 새로운 수익 모델을 발굴하기 위한 보다 광범위한 노력의 시작을 의미한다고 밝혔다.
