Seven people were injured Wednesday in an explosion at a military base in the northern border city of Paju, officials reported.
The explosion occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the Army base located northwest of Seoul.
Military authorities are currently investigating the incident following a report that an explosive device used for educational purposes detonated.
