Renault Group announced the appointment of Nicolas Paris as the new chief executive officer (CEO) of Renault Korea Motors Co. on Monday. He will succeed current CEO Stephane Deblaise, who has been appointed to lead Renault Group's operations in India, effective September 1.
Nicolas Paris, a graduate of Reims Management School in France, has over 20 years of experience in global automotive purchasing and leadership. He previously worked at automotive supplier ZF Lenksysteme before joining Renault Group in 2015.
During his tenure at Renault, Paris has held key roles in France, India, and China, including serving as the head of purchasing at the Alliance Innovation Lab in China. Most recently, he was the vice president responsible for purchasing in areas such as batteries, e-powertrains, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), connectivity, software, and electronic components.
Outgoing CEO Deblaise, who took over in March 2022, has worked to enhance Renault Korea's long-term competitiveness and strategic role within the group. Under his leadership, the company launched the Aurora Project, a pivotal initiative for the organization.

르노 코리아에 따르면, 파리스는 현재 CEO인 스테판 드블레즈의 뒤를 이어 9월 1일부터 르노 그룹의 인도 운영을 이끌 예정이다.
프랑스 랭스 경영학교 졸업자인 파리스는 글로벌 자동차 구매 및 리더십 분야에서 20년 이상의 경험을 가지고 있다. 그는 2015년 르노 그룹에 합류하기 전, 자동차 부품 공급업체인 ZF 렌크시스템에서 근무했다.
그 이후로 그는 프랑스, 인도, 중국에서 주요 역할을 맡아왔으며, 중국의 얼라이언스 혁신 연구소에서 구매 책임자로 활동했다. 최근에는 배터리, 전력 구동 시스템, ADAS, 연결성, 소프트웨어 및 전자 부품 구매를 담당하는 부사장직을 역임했다.
퇴임하는 CEO 드블레즈는 2022년 3월에 취임하여 르노 코리아의 장기 경쟁력과 그룹 내 전략적 역할을 강화하기 위한 노력을 이끌었다. 그의 리더십 하에 회사는 한국 시장의 핵심 제품인 아우로라 프로젝트를 론칭했다.
