Actress Lee Young-ae is set to star in a KBS drama series, tentatively titled "Lucky Day," as announced by the network on Friday.
This upcoming project marks Lee's first collaboration with KBS in 26 years, following her previous work on the 1999 series "Invitation."
The narrative of "Lucky Day" centers around a bag filled with narcotics. Lee Young-ae plays the role of Eun-su, a housewife in desperate need of money, while Kim Young-kwang portrays Lee-kyung, the art teacher of Eun-su's daughter. Park Yong-woo takes on the character of ace detective Tae-gu.
The series is directed by Song Hyun-wook, known for successful shows such as tvN's "Another Miss Oh" (2016) and JTBC's "The Beauty Inside" (2018). The script is written by Jeon Young-shin, the acclaimed writer behind "Cheese in the Trap."
